Private Health Rebates

You can claim a rebate for Dietitian consultations if you have appropriate extras cover with your Private Health insurance. To be sure, please check with your insurer. Consequently, many insurance companies now have apps to make claiming a breeze.

Medicare Rebates

You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if you are referred by your General Practitioner (GP) as part of a Chronic Disease Management Plan (GP Management Plan). Generally, the rebate amount is $53.80. Further, a management plan offers up to 5 subsidised visits to allied health professionals per calendar year. In any case, your GP and Practice Nurse can determine if you are eligible.

Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Health Cards (Gold and White) are acceptable payments with a GP referral.

Cancellation Policy

Sometimes plans change and you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I get it.

Generally speaking, if you do need to change an appointment, I ask that you please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice. This allows sufficient time to fill the appointment and reduce waiting times for others.

Failure to provide sufficient notice, or to attend an appointment will result in a charge, equivalent to half of the consultation fee. Dietitian’s discretion will be used in specific circumstances.

I looking forward to joining you on your nutrition journey to improved health.
